The Ballast Difference – Giving Back
Ballast believes that life is too short not to give back to the community. In the communities where Ballast invests, it donates a portion of it’s earnings to local causes that prioritize education, skills training, and poverty alleviation.

Students First is a community effort to help youth reach their full potential by pursuing their goals with support from caring adults. During the school year, youth participants meet with Students First Strengths Educators to participate in activities that focus on each individual's strengths. The students create Success Plans that will evolve as they move from 6th to 12th grade.
Brainerd School District, in partnership with the community, works to ensure all students achieve their individual potential by providing the highest-quality programs and resources to prepare learners for an ever-changing global society.
Nativity Jesuit Academy is a K4-8 co-ed Catholic, Jesuit, urban school serving young men and women. Nativity Jesuit Academy prepares students, in partnership with their families, for Christian leadership and service in high school, college, and life.
